Master Chef!

OH NOES, THE FISH HAS EYES!!! shutupshutupshutup

Luka is funny enough that I wonder if he isn’t a plant. Some aspiring actor/comedian putting on an accent.

Dear Lord they finally shed that bullying, whiny bay-otch Krissi.

In the past few weeks she (or the producers) tried to soften her image, but this week her true nature came back out. Good riddance!

Ding dong the witch is dead!

So freaking happy that shitfaced bully is gone! Now I can watch this show in peace! I was so annoyed thinking she might actually win yesterday that I did something I never did before and looked up the spoilers before they came back from commercial. If she had won, I would have simply turned off the show and not watched the finale. There is no way I can stand another episode with that thing on my TV. I will always be grateful to Jessie that she was the one that beat her, it was truly a beauty and the beast situation. I also liked how while Joe offered to take Krissi out to dinner if she’s ever in town, Jessie actually got a job offer from Gordon. Yeah, one dinner sounds fine but NOBODY wants you around longer you asshole!

How great was it that she was picked last in like every single instance where leaders had to pick their teams? And she had to cook in an elimination almost every single week? I hope she chokes on a pie or something

Next week: I think Natasha take the crown. Frankly, I really didn’t buy into the whole thing of her being a villain or anything, not when we had that monster douchebag on the show. I think she can be a little arrogant, but she’s good, she knows her stuff, and is really competitive. She is also more refined than she lets on. Personally, I like Luca too, but I think his food is too Italian all the time and has less ability to vary his style. But I won’t be mad if he wins either

I think they were rather inhumane to James last week. He went from “you’re in the final four!” to out in the same evening just because they had a non-elimination or whatever it was.

I really want Luca to win, Natasha just gives me bitch vibes. I mean, not Krissi-level bitch vibes, but y’know.

Krissi lasted way too long - she should have gone before Bri. She can bake and do homestyle cooking, but she’s not a good cook outside of her comfort zone. I have no idea why they kept her around so long.

The show needed a villain. Personally I think she was told to ramp it up especially the lasts few episodes.

No, the show most definitely did NOT need a villain. I’m so sick and tired of producers thinking that. This is a cooking show above all else. I watch it because I like to see what kind of interesting new things people can make with everyday ingredients, or how to use something ordinary to make something extraordinary. I had to see the spoilers to decide if I was going to keep watching, that’s how close they got to losing me as a viewer. I want this to be a cooking show, not some reality bitchfest

As I’ve said in previous post, USMAsterchef is a different sort of show than the other countries Masterchef. The US one is meaner and more drama.

Remember, nobody thought Krissi was any real competition, nobody saw her as a genuine threat, so whenever they had to pick teams or assign ingredients or add on additional difficulties, she always got off scott free–because nobody was strategizing against her, because everyone felt confident that they could beat her as things narrowed down. They wanted to get rid of the better chefs first. That’s how she lasted.

That and every time she faced elimination, either somebody fucked up obviously worse than she did, or she actually cooked something decent. Her food was never her problem, just her toxic presence.

And the winner is…

Luca!

I have to admit I’m surprised, I thought Natasha would win for sure. Her plating was better, her food was lighter and more technical… but Luca pulled it out with that imaginative dessert.

For the first time in MC, the person I wanted to win won!
Anybody looking forward to MC junior? I’m dying to see Ramsay to tell a little kid to “Piss off!” but I know that not going to happen.

Or have Joe sneer, “Thanks for nothing!” as he throws some little girl’s cake in the trash can!

You mean you didn’t want to see Christine win?? How dare you! :stuck_out_tongue:

I would have liked Natasha to win, just to piss of Krissi some more, but Luca’s a cool guy and he’s gotten better as the competition’s gone on. And I’m going to try to make that braised short ribs at home

Doesn’t Luca own a restaurant or at least used to work as a professional chef? That is the exact opposite of what Master Chef is supposed to be about.

Ha! I just got back from the grocery store. And guess what I got in my shopping bags? …
Short ribs!! All thanks to Luca.

I thought Luca was a restaurant manager, so not really a professional chef. I could be wrong though

No he was a restaurant manager.
