Master's of Science in Organizational Development

I was poking around for Master’s degrees, relunctantly considering an MBA. I have a BPA, but I’m not interested in an MPA. Considered a MA in Communication. My current job is in training, which I really dig and wouldn’t mind doing in some form or another for the remainder of my career (which will be another 20-30 years).

Then I ran across MSOD, and it seems like the perfect combination of the things I like about each of those degrees, and the things I like about my job.

I have done my research online, and it seems on the surface like a very good option. Of course, all of the testimonials are from degree holders who are happy with their outcomes.

Anyone have an MSOD? Like the program? What are you doing with it?

If you have a different degree that I might want to consider, by all means suggest it as well.

Is the MSOD going to be worth the money you spend on it?

The MSOD in particular, or as compared to a different degree?

37 hours * $475 per hour = 17,575. Books/fees on top of that etc. Guess we could get into cost of foregone opportunities, but eh.

Not incredibly expensive, I don’t believe.

Of course I want to realize maximum utility, but I also want to engage in a program that I’m enthusiastic about. MBA doesn’t fit that bill.

Since this is IMHO, the question of which particular degree would be the most ‘worth it’ could be up for discussion as well.
