Masters Week --- 2011!

IIRC, Adam Scott is looking to be the first player to win a major with a belly (or longer) putter. I think Singh’s win at the PGA was with a short putter.

I’ve never seen the camera have to jump around so much from one player to the next. There is just soooooo much great golf being played, it’s hard to capture it all.

Scott has a tap in birdie on 16!!!

What have we got? Nine players within one stroke, some of whom still have four holes to play? Tiger’s first half? Ogilvy’s second half? Yeah, interesting.

And, yes, sadly, McIlroy’s meltdown. :frowning:

Adam Scott’s always had the game to win a major, but he looked like he lacked mental toughness. That looks to have changed. Perfect tee shot on 16. Lets see what Cabrera does on 15.

May have spoken too soon. He pulled that eight inch birdie putt and hooked his drive on 17.

Every time I walk out of the room I hear people start booing - what am I missing when this happens? Is it good natured?

Could be Luuuuuke for Luke Donald

LUUUUKE! For Luke Donald, who had a bad break when his great shot on 18 hit the flagstick and bounced off the green. He then holed his chip for a birdie.

Oh! That makes sense; I was getting a little confused because it just seemed rather rude.

Nice putt for the win.

Not to say I told ya so, but…

Done nothing but birdied the last four holes to win. Only bogey was a 3 putt on Hole #4.
Congratz Charl.

what a tournament!

Some of the reasons why I don’t like Tiger Woods.

Really, they should do the jacket-annointing in front of the gallery. Didn’t that used to be how it was done? In any case the current way is lame.

Yeah, Tiger just never seems to enjoy himself on the golf course. Spends about 5 seconds being happy about each good shot, and the rest of his round being pissed off at his bad shots.

Tiger is only happy when he’s winning. WINNING!!!

Great way to seal the Masters, Charl.

But the “champion wife” award goes to Jason Day. Nice score, dude!

In my 30+ yrs of watching televised golf, I haven’t seen too many ugly tour wives. Most of them are beautiful.

A well-earned victory. Damn, what a wonderful round that was to watch!

Rory must have spent a lot of time in the US. His Irish accent is barely detectable. Or is that just normal for where he’s from in Ireland?

About the Rory thing, there are a number of examples of inexperienced guys blowing up like this at a major and doing well afterwards. Mike Weir shot an 80 in the final round in the final group at the PGA, and then won his first tournament soon after. Jason Gore had something like an 85 in the final group at the US Open, and then won as well.
