Great! I didn’t write B yet…and I really do have an A and B!
Panelists…
Ever since the government bought GM, the quality of their new cars has been really slipping! It’s true. The tailpipes on a new chevy are made out of cardboard, and the brakes are made out of __________.
Subscribed And antonio, if you re-read my answer I said he had a gold plated girl robot. Cuz you know, being a nerd and all… how else will he get a girl? (no offense to any actual nerds reading this thread)
Ah well, pocket protector was a better answer anyways…

Ugh…this is a toughie…probably gonna see 4 different answers here and each one isn’t gonna be obvious…but when I think of the word “slipping” and “brakes”…I think of Mario Cart…so I’m gonna say:
Indeed it was! I was out last night, and didn’t want to update the game from my phone, but here it is!
janis_and_c0 - Rubber bands. No match there!
HardlySanguine - Gobs of pre-dried Elmer’s Glue. Sounds delicious, but no match!
KneadtoKnow says BANANA PEELS, so that’s a match!
Dr. Girlfriend Votes for your feet! Flinstone’s style! Good answer
Skammer did not play this round, but he said government surplus cheese, which I’m rather fond of.
cmkellar also did not play this round (I should have reminded someone), but voted for Old Army Boots.
Good answers all around!
MadTheSwine, it’s all on you. Last chance to take the game with B…
Panelists (everyone but ETV78/KneadToKnow’s panelist plays):
Patrick Stewart, after all these years, broke down and bought himself a toupee! Have you seen this, have you heard about this? He was tired of being mistaken for ___________.
“Boobs” on Match Game was a classic and defining moment for the show, and (as was suggested back on page 1) became the standard answer for certain types of questions.
However, and despite Brett’s claiming in at least one documentary that “there were no rules,” it is clear from extended viewing of the show that mentioning genitalia was absolutely forbidden when it came to answers. One panelist (I think it was Jack Carter, but I could very well be misremembering) once responded to a question with “beaver” and, IIRC, was never brought back.
Aside from very abstract references (Richard commented once, “I’ve got an answer here that’ll close this place” and occasionally Gene would suggest to panelists that they write down their second answer), that’s as close as I think anyone ever came.
Well, I just saw an episode of “Lingo” on GSN where one pair was given the letter ‘D’, and the clue “It always comes in the end,” to which the two ladies guessed “Dicks” followed by “Dumps.” And the next clue started with an ‘S’ and they guessed “Semen.”
Yup. I remember ‘‘boobs’’ being the raunchiest answer given on the show, even though the questions frequently lent themselves to far raunchier. When they brought back a 1990s version, without all of that pesky 70s censorship, the panelists’ responses lost all subtlety, and hence 85% of the humor of the sow. Glad to see it go.
janis_and_c0: Mr. Clean. (Good Answer!)
HardlySanguine: a magic 8-ball! (Good Answer!)
Dr. Girlfriend: a Spaceball (I like the cross-pollination between sci-fi series!)
cmkeller: Mr. Clean!
Skammer: Mr. Clean!!
So as you can see, no matches for ‘Penis,’ and Yeticus Rex wins!
And with that, I bid adieu to the match game for the time being, in the hopes that the original MC will come back and cover for me!
