I don’t know how you can argue for this hypothetical. As I already mentioned though, the Kobe Bryant trial was heavily reported on and he wasn’t exactly treated as innocent until proven guilty by the pundits. But go ahead and show some support for your position.

I can’t imagine who in the hell is pretending there is no disparity in the number of liberals and conservatives in newsrooms. That would indeed be absurd, but I’ve no clue who is pretending that.

As I said already, Kobe Bryant was a celebrity. Any time a celebrity is accused of a serious crime, it gets a lot of coverage.

Well if it makes the OP feel any better, I for one did not know that Ted Koppel was Jewish. So consider my ignorance fought on that count anyway.

I’m unsure what I’m supposed to do with that knowledge, exactly; but it does mean that I now know two solid biographical facts about Ted Koppel, which is two more than I know about Paris Hilton. The other fact is that Koppel once hosted Nightline. I’m still unclear on what Ms. Hilton does for a living.

Is it even allowed for Jews to wear their hair like that? Isn’t there something in Leviticus about, “If a man’s poofy combover swathe his head from ear to ear until he resemble a muffin, he shall be an abomination unto me?” If it doesn’t actually say that, it ought to. In fact I’m going to pencil it in right now just in case.

It happened at the University of Colorado just a few years ago, and it was big news. The fact that the athletes were never charged with anything is still widely unknown.
