Lib, this is (or should be) beneath you. You wanna melt down after only a few weeks back?
No, I think you’re right. Appreciate that.
bolding mine
Liberal, IMO the highlighted parts of the post are what makes this more of a threadshitting that it might otherwise have been. “She did not hestitate…” makes it sound like she put two minutes into this decision. “The creature” is just as if the cat is not a even a pet, but more of a thing your daughter had around. The tone of your post is what made it sound bad; we have only your words to determine her feelings on the subject. And don’t get smartassed and say I can’t hear your tone–that’s the whole point, and you know it. If it can be taken that way by someone, it will be and clarification can be offered easiliy and peacefully without your usual fanfare and drama, entertaining though it can be.
And the stuff about how helpless a baby is and blah, blah, blah…jeez, Lib, everyone on this board has made it through being a baby; it can’t be that hard.
this post should kill the thread…I’m usually really good at that.
Well, I still defend my daughter’s decision, Stretch, and based on our own prior experiences, I’m glad she did what she did.
In retrospect, however, I would have much more carefully worded my response in the MPSIMS thread, probably leaving that part out of it altogether. Although you might not believe me, my only intention was to be “chatty” there. Write a bit about our cats, and the problem my daughter had with hers. I do understand that my reputation precedes me, but I don’t want to have to walk on glass each time I post. Maybe if past issues could be kept there, you and others would discover I’m really not such a terrible person. (Not a great leader or anything, but not an intentional liar, back peddler, or shit slinger.)
I don’t think you are a terrible person; I think you have terrible moments like all of us. We’ll just see what the future brings.
What’s a back go for these days?
About a nichol.
Who doesn’t tip the waitress and orders his steak well-done.
