I live on Elm Street in Town City, Virginia. Next door there’s a pizzeria that sells thin crust pizza. A mile down the road, there’s a pizzeria that sells deep dish pizza. Therefore, I live on the “real Elm Street.” A mile down, I perceive that part of Elm Street to really be part of Chicago.
I don’t care what it’s like where you live. It’s bullshit to label your personal experience as “real” and mine as not.
