McCain suspends campaign, asks Obama to do the same. What?!

I think someone in the McCain campaign needs a quick lesson in how to use Outlook.

McCain campaign emails internal talking points to the the press.

Hahaha! Love this bit:

And this: “Told by a reporter that the e-mail had been sent to him and others in the media, Kise said, “F*ck, tell me I didn’t send it to the wrong list.””

Yeah, ya did bucko. I guess “Evil Librul Media Elitists” and “Loyal and Fervent Supporters” does look kind of like the same group, if the font is real small, and you squint…

CNN is still running their same spot about the debate Friday.

This is going to be the last big speech Bush makes, isn’t it?

Why do you mock the disabled?

A video with nine minutes of Letterman vs McCain is on YouTube already, before the show has even aired.

Edit: Nine minutes and eleven seconds to be exact.

I really, really, really hope this forks Mr. McCain for good. The world cannot afford another inept American president. If you guys could keep your troubles at home, the rest of us would shut up; but as it is, we suffer just the same as you and we don’t even get to vote.

Mr. Obama at least has the sense not to start blathering and then have to back-pedal. He appears to be thoughtful, and maybe even willing to listen and learn before he makes a move.

What a novel sight.

Maybe that’s exactly what we need.

Seems to me what you think of this move entirely depends on:

  1. How bad you think the economy is doing, and

  2. What you think of the bailout as it stands now.

Since many conservatives oppose the current bailout plan, if McCain is going back to lend his voice in support of it, it might end up being a wash.

I was coming here to post the exact same thing. This is the “orange alert” of 2008.

Holy crud that was funny.

“He’s just concluded his interview with Katie Couric, and is now on Rachael Ray’s show making veal piccata.”

Apparently McCain paid a visit to Katie Couric on account of Couric’s hatchet job on Palin.

You have to watch this.

I’ll bring em to ya.

The notion that this is anything but a cynical political ploy by the McCain camp just got decapitated, staked through the heart, wrapped in cloves of garlic, and buried at a crossroads.

Letterman should have guests suddenly cancel on him more often.

Jeezum crow. This woman is like steroids for media bubbleheads. Charlie Gibson? Katie Couric? Hard-hitting what now? What has happened to the world?

There is 40 some days til the election. That is a serious thing too.

Wow.

Bit of an aside, why on earth does that woman sound like she’s from Duluth?

Ouch!!

“McCain has consistantly supported less regulation for 26 years…”

“Ummm… ‘Maverick!’?”

I was thinking the same thing.

I just can’t get over this whole campaign. It has gone from absurd to surreal.

I am kind of flabbergasted by the Couric interview. She is as believable as a VP as Denise Richards was as a physicist in that crappy James Bond movie.
