The image didn’t work. I think that postimage has been censoring images based on the McConnell image, in an attempt to crack down on fake news (and their filter doesn’t understand the difference between fake news and jokes).

Well, imgur doesn’t want to display it properly but you get the idea.
Because you linked the album, not the image. (The default URL Ingur gives you is an album, even if you only uploaded one image, because an album of one image makes so much sense. Well, it kinda does, from Imgur’s perspective, because they can display advertising and previews of other posts in the same page as the album.)
If you open the album and then tell your browser to display the image by itself, you get a URL for just the image, which Discourse will preview correctly.
Also, Imgur is problematic to our readers in the UK.

Right click on the image in preview and select “Open image in new tab” until you get a URL that looks like https//i.imgur.com/5s2UnLI.jpeg and paste that in your post.
