McConnell vs. McGrath for Kentucky Senate seat!

You aren’t going to see many early Kentucky polls. They don’t tend to poll a lot for races in such partisan territory. The only one I see is from June before her announcement and it assumed Jim Gray would be the D nominee. McConnell +8.

That same poll gave Trump a 60% strong/somewhat approval.

I wonder what the logic was on that one.

People gather outside your home, wish that you had broken your neck, and say that you should be stabbed in the heart, and McConnell’s account gets suspended for mentioning it. Why doesn’t Twitter want people to know that it happened?

Because twitter has dumb rules that are applied inconsistently.

Trump’s probably laughing it up. “Ha ha! You should see the shit I’m able to post!”

Do we actually have a statement from Twitter as to which posting(s) caused the ban? It looks to me like maybe he was banned for the tombstone thing, and he’s just lying when he says that it’s because of his honest account of what people are saying to him.

And why does it look that way to you?

Because Mitch McConnell lying is usually the safe bet, and because he did in fact commit the offense that Twitter claimed he did, just in a different post.

Amy McGrath filed her paperwork today; she is now officially running against Mitch McConnell in the 2020 election:

The AP seldom shows such a gift for droll, ironic understatement.

I wonder what Moscow Mitch will come up with to attempt to swift boat her.

Two polls have now put her within one point:KY-Sen: Two Polls Confirm A Toss-Up Race Between Amy McGrath (D) & Moscow Mitch (R)
*Two statewide polls conducted last month show the U.S. Senate race in Kentucky is winnable for former Marine combat pilot Amy McGrath against Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

In January, Garin-Hart-Yang conducted a live telephone survey among a representative sample of 802 likely voters (margin of error +3.5%), and Change Research conducted an online survey the following week among 1,281 likely voters (margin of error +2.8%).

Both polls show a strong dissatisfaction with Sen. Mitch McConnell and his vulnerability to Amy McGrath’s candidacy, and highlight a very competitive Senate race, with McGrath and McConnell tied in the Change Research poll and McConnell only up by 3% in the Garin-Hart-Yang poll, well within the margin of error.*

This would be soooooo nice. I sent her $5.

Good news, everyone!

I just sent her $25. Chip in, people!

I sent $50. Who’s in for $100?

Lol it will be a miracle if she finishes within 10 points.

The GOP will be spread thin in 2020. They have to pass Jim crow laws to disenfranchise minority voters, fix voting machines, work with the Kremlin to spread lies about whoever the Dems pick- and the will have to be spent in places normally solid Red, like Virginia, North Carolina and even Texas. Beto will make sure Texas is in play, even if reddish-purple. How much and time can they spend on Moscow Mitch- who is hated by many of his own party?
As Prince Humperdinck put it: “Tyron. You know how much I love watching you work, but I’ve got my country’s 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder, and Gilda to blame for it. I’m swamped.”

Real Republicans don’t hate Mitch, that’s an absurd statement.

I clicked on Moscow Mitch’s RCP page just now for his in-state ratings: 29% favorable, 50% unfavorable, a -21% spread. Which means, don’t get over-excited. Much shit can and will still go down.

Yes, he is hated in the GOP Senate because he is too controlling.

and he is unpopular in his own state.

So hated that there’s not even 4 Republican Senators can be found to remove him as Senate Majority Leader.

McConnell is the willing lightning rod for Senate Republicans to do whatever they want and be able to fully blame someone with a previously-thought unassailable office.
