According to Andriasang, McDonald’s Japan intends to roll out a new employee training program utilizing the DS, Nintendo’s highly popular portable gaming system. The program, which is called “eSmart,” will roll out in 3700 Japanese McDonald’s stores by the end of this year. Two DS systems will also be placed in every store for employee training purposes. McDonald’s intends to cut employee training time in half, mainly because of the familiarity of the DS system.
