In the same way MEBuckner has dishonestly represented my position in his analogy to support a plainly wrong result. Both have changed the words to suggest something insulting, changed them in exactly the place I pointed out the error occurred. Because no honest person can face the words foursquare and find an insult to John Mace.
Yet I hadn’t realised people would so freely identify themselves with dishonesty, merely to make an angry post in the pit. Btw, here’s the quote again if any person doubts what I say.

So, the fact that every single person who has posted to this thread sees a clear and unambiguous insult in your post does not mean that there was, in fact, a clear and unambiguous insult in your post. It means that the SDMB is infested with liars.
Perhaps it’s not such a good idea for you to be attempting to identify the quality of honesty in other posters. This is, after all, a board for informed discussion, and it’s increasingly clear that honesty is a subject with which you have precious little experience.

I’m not even sure what you’re arguing about anymore. Do you honestly still think your original comment was appropriate for GD? It wasn’t. Get over it. Demanding that people Pit you in a manner you agree with isn’t going to change that, or accomplish much of anything, really.
Because the error that you suggest exsists does so only in your head. The parody posts provided by Bippy and MEBuckner are identical to the one you posted in GD, except for the obvious difference in who they were intended to slight.
And why is it, do you think, that these posters who have decided to act with deliberate dishonesty, have uniformly insulted you, and not John Mace? If their only purpose here is to start shit with someone, regardless of the validity of their position, surely someone would have shown up to take a shot at him. Especially considering that he is one of the few vocal conservatives on an otherwise highly liberal board. And yet, so far, not one single person has taken your side in this thread, either through legitimate argument or pure ad hominem. The closest you’ve come is one guy who’s willing to believe you didn’t intend to insult John Mace, but still points out the abundantly obvious fact that you did, indeed, directly insult him. All your semantic hand-waving and obsessive gramatical nitpicks don’t change this. If you had an ounce of manhood or an inch of maturity, you’d admit this and apologize. If you’re referring to Murmansk, that isn’t a real poster, but rather a rhetorical construct by Sevastopol. (Murmansk is a city on the opposite side of Russia as Sevastopol, if Google is to be believed.)
