Mechanical acne remover device

People that get grossed out easily please move on to the next post.

Everyone has had acne in some fashion somewhere on their body in their life.

One method they use to remove acne is to exfoliate the skin which is simply removing a layer of skin.

Acne is essentialy a clogged pour, or a clogged hair folical pour.

Do you think it would be possible to have a roller that looked like a porcupine of needles that could be rolled on the body. The fine needles would unclog the pours.

This device could be used on the back or buttocks.

The single person with that single impossible to reach zit in the middle of their back could easily be eliminated with this roller.

The device would be sterile and used in the shower.

Okay, shoot holes though this device.

A needle-coated cylindrical roller might make a great torture device, but I suspect it would be a bit extreme for most people.

The device would have no way to differentiate between clogged pores and ordinary ones; even assuming it is a good idea to push needles into clogged pores (which I think might be a false assumption, but let’s set that aside), you’d also be poking lots and lots of unnecessary holes in the surrounding healthy skin. That can’t be a great idea.

Furthermore; the device itself might initially be sterile, but your skin and your shower cubicle are not.

I’m thinking something that rapidly alternates temperature, pressure and moisture content in some sort of a suction cup should be able to unclog pores if you get the pattern right.

It’s not just the zit itself that’s a problem with acne; it’s also the resultant scarring that might last a lifetime. Your device might increase the scarring.

You are a day or two late.
A little metal device about 3" long with ends shaped and formed like the bowls of little spoons with a small hole in the bowl. One end smaller/larger than the other.
Have LaCrosse, Miller Falls, or Revlon logo stamped in middle. Look/ask at beauty section of your nearest drug store.
Select appropriate opening, place over zit, and PRESS. This should ZIP the ZIT!

I’m not convinced that acne, particularly the worse kinds of acne like the cystic/nodular kind, is the result of a clogged pore. Accutane, birth control pills and so on can be far better treatment than scrubbing clean your pores 3 times a day will ever be.

Unreachable middle of the back (MOB) zits present themselves at different depths and often requires lots of concentrated pressure at just the right spot to be “splorched” successfully. It would be difficult to direct or control a mechanical device that does this.

18 inch thin bladed Snap-On screwdrivers will work to force/cut the zit open but aren’t much good at pressing out the contents.

I’m not talking about the cystic type just the clogged pour type of zit.

I read that one guy uses chop sticks for the unreachable middle of the back (MOB) zits.

Somebody saw me do that?

Nope. At age 37, I’ve never had acne anywhere on my body. Never.

And your device would cause scarring, especially with daily use. Keloid-forming people would probably sue. With all the different, effective acne treatments out there, there’s simply no use for such a thing.
