Media Player & Web access

I’m on my son’s PC at the moment, and I placed an audio CD in the drive to play it.

Media Player launches, and the CD plays. So far so good.

But when I click on Get Names in order to actually go out and look for the titles, Media Player responds with:

You must be connected to the Internet to update information about the audio CD you have selected.

I AM connected via a DSL connection.
IE is working just fine (obviously)
Email is flowing
I tried uninstalling and re-installing media player with my connection active, same problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Steve

Check out the “Connecting to the Internet” on the FAQ Page for Windows Media Player. There’s some tips there.
