Yep - having your photo attached to the article will totally preserve your anonymity.
Also: is it “marihuana” or “marijuana”? Seeing both spellings used interchangably annoys me.
Oh I know that…I was chuckling at the lady who was concerned that someone at the post office saw the envelope and is now worried about being targeted by thieves or gossiped about allowing her photo to be used with the article.
Both spellings are correct, as far as I know. And if you are dealing with a Spanish speaker you will also hear “marigüana” (/mah-rih-GWAH-nah/) and very possibly “maría”.
I have heard (in Spanish) the herb in question being called “marihuana” (/mah-rih-WAH-nah/) and “marijuana” (/mah-rih-KHUAH-nah/), interchangeably.
As JoseB says, I think both are technically correct–but “marihuana” always has a slightly musty, [del]skunky,[/del] archaic aroma to me. I would expect the producers of Reefer Madness to declaim against the dangers of demon marihuana.
