Meet Loretta, the paddleboarding chicken!

Seriously!

I’ve known lots of chickens and that’s the most focused I’ve ever seen a chicken be.

Wow. I’ve never seen anything like that. WTG, Loretta!

That’s one cool chicken!

I think that chicken’s broken.

I never thought much about chickens until a friend of mine kept them as pets. They can actually be pretty cute. Even so, that seems like a very special chicken.

I always liked chickens even though I eat them daily. I love to go to farm festivals in New Hampshire where they have exotic chickens (as well as exotic goats, cattle, sheep and everything else). They are beautiful and fun to play with. I grew up with chickens and lots of other livestock. Most of them aren’t that bright but, every once and a while, you will get one that is personable and has a distinct personality.

Thank you for posting this. OP. As it ate up about an hour of debate as to whether chickens can swim while I was at work. We finally broke down and Googled it which resulted in more interesting videos and discussions on Quora. An afternoon well wasted learning that chickens, do indeed, swim, but like cats mostly do it to avoid being in the water. Except when they don’t.

While we are on the subject of famous chickens, let us never forget Mike the Headless Chicken, the most famous chicken in the world, that lived 18 months after being decapitated and seemed to get along just fine. He even went on tour earning the equivalent of $48,000 a MONTH for his owners.

We will always remember you Mike.

Makes me think about reincarnation.
