HHHHHHHHHHHHHHOLY crap!! I remember this from when i was a lil’ un. Its a Thunderbirdsstyle marionette show and the baddie is a witch called Zelda that scared the crap out of me. I never watched a full episode because of her. Brrr.
Terrahawks is a Thunderbirds-like show, produced by Gerry Anderson, but not marionettes - they’re rod puppets this time.
Dr Tiger Ninestein is a clone (there’s nine of him) and he is in charge of this defense organisation, including Mary Falconer, Kate Kestrel, Hawkeye, and Lt Hiro, and a series of spherical droids called Zeroids, the Sgt Major of which is voiced by Windsor Davies.
They’re fighting against supernatural enemies, most of the time Zelda the witch, whose ‘son’ (Yungstar) and ‘daughter’ (Systar) are strange additions to her team.
it has lots of cool spaceships and vehicles, as is typical of Gerry Anderson, and was a lot of fun, until it started to get bogged down with stories about Kate Kestrel’s singing career.
