Megan Kelly Leaves Fox for NBC

I did like the way she handled the crap dished out by that orange-skinned galoot, but she was a willing partner in the right wing fake news industry. I’m just hoping NBC has a leg chair for her.

Megyn Kelly is as untalented as she is unprincipled. The woman who will now be following the NBC line is the same woman as this one.

NBC is welcome to her and Fox is well rid of her.

There’s always hope that people are actually capable of change, and that once taken out of an echo chamber that determines your livelihood, you may start to explore other lines of thinking.

Even if she only budges on a few issues, it can’t but help the overall cause of political sanity to have people admit that their team is not always right and the other team is not always wrong.

Hard not to look at this as potentially very smart. MK burned bridges at Fox and engaged Trump head on, while maintaining a conservative political line. As NBC seeks to position itself during the Trump years, it feels like she can be positioned as centrist conservative but not in anyone’s pocket.

I am not saying it will work, or that it will be easy, but it seems like a bet worth making.

I think people forget that TV networks are trying to make money , not push a specific ideology.

They would give Charles Manson a show if they thought he could bring in ratings.

She will be too Middle Left for many MSDNC viewers to let stand …

Mmm…but this is hardly devastating stuff. Santa Claus stems from the European Saint Nicklaus tradition and he is certainly white.

However Jesus Christ was Semitic which means he was genetically Arab. She was foolish to say otherwise.

It was an example of a “lighten up, you Libbies” joke. “In the 'Merica where the War On Christmas™ is being marketed, of course Santa is white” yada yada. Yuks all around.

In a world where Trump can saying the most outrageous lies and claim he doesn’t mean them and is just saying them for effect, this is RO.

It will be interesting to see what interviews she does, what questions she asks and what spats she gets in over on NBC.

Given that

  1. Santa is an imaginary personification of christmas, for children
  2. In theory at least, she is serving viewers of all backgrounds, on most cable systems
  3. Christians are not necessarily white

It means she’s just not bright, and lacks a real human compass, which is obvious when you watch her for any length of time.

What was the message she was giving to non white children who might have been watching?
