Mel Brooks 8 DVD box set

There’s a indie music/dvd store down the street from me which has the Mel Brooks 8 DVD box set so incredibly cheap that I wouldn’t mind that I’d be buying Young Frankenstein for the second time, also I could pretend that I wasn’t paying at all for Men in Tights.

But the packaging doesn’t give any info at all about the indiviual DVD’s.

Are they all widescreen?

Are there commentaries? Extras?

If there were extras I’m sure they’d be advertised on the packaging, but I thought there might at least be commentaries since my single copy of Young Frankenstein does have a commentary. Mostly I just want to make sure they’re all widescreen (where appropriate, which in this case I think is every movie- don’t think he ever did a 1.33:1)

Compare the ISBN on the side of the box with this.

Amazon says it is widescreen. There are some interviews and one or two commentaries made for previous individual releases, but there isn’t much for "special features.

Hmm. That link from Linty Fresh looks awfully familiar, but I can’t quite place it. (I did preview before posting. Really!)

Good info, thanks!

And the place down the street from me has it new for $69 which isn’t much more than the cheapest used one on Amazon. I’ll have to pick it up.
