Everybody has permission all the time. You are allowed. I haven’t done it myself in this thread (partly because I don’t think that aspect of the story is all that important), but the people who are doing it are doing it to mock a racist with his own words, not just to say it, but to highlight how asinine it sounds. It’s not a word with magic powers. Context and intention actually do matter.

It’s only an investigation at this point (whether you stand by your previous post or not) and it’s not surprising that the impetus for the investigation comes from Gibson’s lawyers. There are also allegations now that the photos of the broken tooth was altered.

Most people condemning Gibson in this discussion have said, gold digger or not, the tapes reveal some serious abuse issues on Mel’s part. That still stands. What, if anything, it turns out Oksana may have done wrong, ethically or criminally, is a separate issue.
