Mel Gibson dials it up to 11 with new telephone recording.

Can he use it if it’s part of a discussion about how it was used by someone else (and used to make fun of that person)?

Inquiring minds want to know. Some inquiring minds anyway.

Based on his use of the term so far, I suggest he refer to it as the Y-word.

Or the Y-apostrophe-period-period-ell word.

You saw his MySpace. I’m not his type and as hard as that is to accept, I will somehow make due. In my young life, I never thought I would face such serious heartbreak and rejection from a middle aged, balding, dorky science teacher from Pennsylvania who posts pictures of himself playing with swords and dead deer on the internet, but it’s happened. And it hurts. :frowning:

You sir are a despicable culturist.

That’s one of the stupidest things I’ve read today.

Some male spouses are abused too. Their predicament is just as bad as that of abused women, if not worse. I know a battered husband, and he’s stayed for 20 years, despite the abuse. What he and abused women have in common is that they all have abusive spouses. Nothing can be ascertained about a battered spouse’s mind that would be a universal truth.

You mean the Y-apostrophe-A-double l word?

Every time I read this, I hear it in my head in the voice of Sylvester the Cat.

“You thurr, are a dethpicable culturitht”

Weird. I could’ve sworn that was Wallace Shawn.

Scumpup was a teacher? I hope he reserved his worst behavior for us because if not, heaven help his students.

Wait, our **scumpup **or the other one? There are two, you know. They’re very similar, so it’s hard to tell the difference.

“Dethpicable” was actually used by another Mel Blanc character with a near-identical voice: Daffy Duck.

I just listened to the unedited version of the tapes. It gives you a better perspective than reading the transcript.

My impression is that Mel thought he was getting some submissive little Russian chick who would clean, suck, and fuck at his whim. She probably came across that way at first and then saw dollar signs and started asserting herself a little more.

It shows that Mel has deep, deep emotional issues. I think he thought he was getting into a better place by leaving his wife and hooking up with her. Now he sees that it was a terrible mistake he made and is taking the anger out on her.

The guy needs a mentor or somehow else he respects to give him a swift kick in the ass. He seems extremely selfish (which is sometimes present in alcoholics). I feel sorry for him in a way…

Problem is, I think his mentor and the man he respects is his dad; who I hear in neither very respectable or respectful.

Sufferin’ Succotash, you’re right!
