Is it just me. or has anyone else noticed the inordinate number of Mel Gibson movies in which his character is tortured? So far Ive counted 4, and Im sure there are more:
Payback - toes broken with hammer
Lethal Weapon 2 - suspended from ceiling and electrocuted
Conspiracy Theory - half drowned in bathtub
Braveheart - castrated and disembowelled
Not that I have anything against Mel Gibson being tortured, but whats the sub-text here? Some kind of crucifixion fantasy, or does he just, yknow, like it?
