I guess I don’t understand the part about posting by proxy only applying to Melin, since this post by Cheiflaffitup never got yanked, or only applying when it reflects badly upon certain moderators and administrators since this IM exchange with Melin apparently ruffled no feathers.
So where’s the line? Are posters allowed to acknowledge that a banned individual still exists? Are posters allowed to mention that they’ve e-mailed or spoken to a banned poster? Are posters allowed to pass on greetings or share where a banned poster is hanging out these days? Is it just direct quotes that are posting by proxy and not acceptable? Or is it just posts by or about Melin that will prompt this kind of censorship?
Or is this just one of those policies that is “impossible to enforce…uniformly?”

I usually post on the Xena Warrior Princess board maintained by Studios USA. The type of person who SHOULD be banned is represented right now on that board by the nick “Team Universal”. That person’s homophobic bigotry is just unbelievable. Studios USA is being begged by everyone–including me–to interfere in this case. It makes your situation with Melin look laughable.
Melin was just someone who had strong opinions.
