Check Sunday’s Washington Post where the EP of 60 Minutes II says CBS stopped trying to verify the memos after the White House read them, and made no objections.
Hmmm. CBS admits they’re fake docs, and is blowing the door off this story by interviewing the guy they got the docs from tonight. Will wonders never cease.
Not good enough, sorry. Burkett is claiming that he didn’t forge the documents. Thus, either he is lying, or he is not the ultimate source.
I believe CBS has a responsibility to expose the source of the documents, and do what they can to unmask the forger. It would go a long way towards undoing the damage they did.
