To all those who were defending her as simply having some nutty beliefs, just as anyone else might have their own, for me it’s her activism that makes the difference.
In general I’m pretty quickly turned off by girls too deeply into woo of any kind, unless I feel like I can actually educate them. (I’m kinda workin’ on a 9/11 truther at the moment ).
But with JM, it’s not just that she has some wacky beliefs like astrology, or energy healing, or something, AND it’s not even that she’s an anti-vaxxer. It’s that she’s THE anti-vaxxer. She is the face of the movement to a large extent. She’s powerful, and loud, and unrelenting. And she is repeatedly given a powerful mouthpiece by people like Oprah and Larry King. She’s doing very serious harm, and no matter how much logic and reason and science you try to shove in her face, her influence seems to continue to grow.
When my libido is calling, I can certainly enjoy a night in the sack with a cute Jesus girl, but I doubt I could be even attracted to someone if she was a congresswoman leading the anti-gay marriage charge.
Sorry if my point was unclear. IF all that mattered was sex with a hot body then we’d be doing that. But most of us don’t. (BTW, I am married and faithful, so my thoughts may be discounted some I guess.)
Which would I personally find less objectionable? Without question the prostitute. Having sex with someone I find contemptible, like Jenny McCarthy, just to have sex with a hot body, would make me feel cheaper and dirtier than paying for sex would. Which I wouldn’t be crazy about either. I wouldn’t be in love with or have a deep connection with a prostitute, or even think that she cared about or desired me (and being desired is desirable), but at least the thought of that woman, whoever she would be, wouldn’t make me want to retch. Also I would need to be dishonest with McCarthy and pretend to not hate her; the john-hooker relationship would at least be an honest one - fake sounds of ecstasy from her notwithstanding.
Speaking only for myself, it’s a more nuanced question.
I have no idea how intelligent JM is, nor her education level. Having said that, my personal and professional experiences have left me with a profound distaste for mothers who think they have a halo bolted to their heads or that they’re infallible in matters of parenting and that their mothers intuition is sacred. Add to that the broader destructiveness of JM and she is off the table.
A hot, good natured woman, not too bright but enthusiatic about the glad hearted fuck is a different question. Entirely different.
This is true. I cannot claim to speak for all women. But I think more men than women jump on the fuck someone just because they’re hot bandwagon. At least in my general experience.
Well there we go, slinging accusations of bigotry, just because I don’t particularly care for people flaunting their magic water in my face right in front of my actual illness. I’m not against it or anything, I just find it natural.
