I was wondering if such a thing exists anymore. I like to keep my wallet, phone, keys, etc. in my front pockets to thwart pickpockets and to prevent the discomfort of having items between my buttocks and my seat. However, most pants seem to have small pockets. This makes it uncomfortable (and unsightly) to have all that stuff in my front pockets. It seems that with the small pockets, the outer edge of the pocket is stitched to the outer seam of the pants down the entire length of the pocket. I prefer pockets that are large enough to have part of the outer edge free. (The outer edge means the edge that is closest to your pinky finger when you put your hand in your pocket.)
Are you describing carpenter pants? They have a “normal” pocket and a larger one beneath. I wear them all the time.
See? Just another reason I miss JNCO jeans. The back pockets were extra long, so your ass wasn’t sitting on your wallet.
Eddie Bauer pants tend to have good sized, and fairly sturdy, front pockets.

My (sheriff’s deputy) husband likes having all the extra pocket space, and the zippered pocket is very nice, especially when he’s doing really active stuff, like dog training.
All of my Levi’s Dockers have big, loose front pockets…

I’m really describing regular, non-carpenter pants appropriate for business casual attire (think khakis, etc.)
