Mens' fashion. Can I wear a black sweater with black pants? Black shoes, too

Farthest thing from a fashionista (I’m a guy), but I’ve been wearing all back for years out of practicality. Black polos generally don’t show stains, wrinkles and fading as quickly as other colors. I also wear black t-shirts and black briefs if possible, for the same reason.

I love purple, but have all black bedding because anything black basically matches, unlike purple which has too many shades. Another advantage is because when watching TV, it’s best to have the room as dark as possible. Black doesn’t reflect light towards the screen like other colors do.

Edit: I also have black towels and napkins because of the potential stains.

Nothing wrong with all-black.

I used to be the ring announcer for the local pro wrestling promotion. Typically, I’d be in black pants, black golf shirt, black sneakers, and a dark grey tweed jacket. When one of the wrestlers asked why I didn’t get more colorful, I just replied, “You guys are the ones who should be colorful. I should be just a part of the scenery, so as not to take away from you.”

The slightly less old people might make ein Sprokets joke.

If anything, they’ll associate me with being “emo” or something.

I wore grey pants today, by the way, but will work the black pants and black sweater in at some point.

I doubt they’ll associate you with anything. Black pants and top is so common and nondescript.
