Interesting…it sounds like he has savant like capabilities in some ways. Also it reminds me very much of a character in I Am Sam. One of Sam’s friends seems just like this guy–MR, but with an interest in Hollywood trivia and perfect memory for it.
Nope, I have absolutely no desire to go to law school - one grad degree was enough thanks, and I’m still paying that one off. I meant that the group I’m supporting is composed of 3 immigration attorneys, but there are attorneys in the office who practice in other areas of law.
Haven’t seen the movie, but yeah, he definitely has a talent for certain kinds of detail. One of my less-patient co-workers has taken him to task for it on occasion; she thinks he’s capable of doing much more than he lets on. Myself, I know I don’t have enough knowledge to diagnose him, but I am kind of curious. Not curious enough to risk having him screw up a project I might give him, though. In law, accuracy is too damn important, and there aren’t a lot of second chances.
