In a few days, a week, a month, would you be kind enough to post a few lines to let us know a bit more about your father, “Everyday-Wally”. In view of the testimonials given in so short a time by so many, you surely realize what our friend meant to this community, if ever there was any doubt. I may be going out on a limb here, but I guess the rest of the Dopers would be most grateful.
Whatever you do, please keep in touch. Our thoughts are with you and the rest of your family.
My prayers are with you and your family, at this time.
Wally will be sorely missed by many.
I echo other sentiments in saying we are all here for you, whenever and however you need us.
I always love a good “me too” post so here’s one. Amy, just let any one of us know if there is ever anything we can do for you. Your father was very loved by people here and we would do anything in our power to help his loved ones. We’re here for your family.
When anyone dies, a community of people miss them–
family, friends, neighbors, co-workers. We all
have a community that runs wider and deeper than
we realize.
Wally is one of the very few, however, that has
Dopers missing him so much. What an impact he made.
