You can also get the right URL by going ahead and opening the single-post link (in a new tab, preferably) and then coping the link from the “Thread:” link at the top. It always jumps right to the correct post.

There is a thing here that is mildly irritating, perhaps an issue that could be taken up in ATMB. When you copy the post link from the post number, you get a link to a single post by itself. In this particular case (and others) it would be more helpful to be able to view it in the whole thread without being forced to click the thread link in the single-post view.

FYI, if you change where the link says “…showpost.php?..” to “…showthread.php?..” (e.g., like this), it will make it a lot easier on all of us.

And fix that God-damned rolleyes smiley while you’re at it! :mad:

I think it’s a variant of Poe’s Law. In their stubborn adherence to their preconceptions and biases in the face of better information or more persuasive arguments, some internet idiots are just indistinguishable from the internet trolls who mimic them for fun.

It’s as if the Robert163’s of the internet world have been ScotchGard®-ed against exposure to conflicting ideas. You can throw them into the deep end of a knowledge pool and they emerge without a drip. Nothing has soaked in.
