I’m as surprised as the next guy, but I think this show is kind of funny.
There’s not a lot to say about it.
I think both guys are funny, and definitely likable. The set-up gives them a chance to satirize both the suburbs and the ghetto, which they do equally, I’d say.
The mom is funny. But, I think it’s just kind of funny to have a show about guys sitting around, eating cereal for lunch, playing Xbox. They took a couple of funny guys and didn’t give them regular jobs and stupid kids.
Last night they kept bleeping things out and making jokes about it. The one guy goes, “(BLEEP) the police” after he had his TV stolen and then he says, “why did they bleep ‘call the police’?”.
And method clearly told a lady “get the fuck out of my house.” The same lady who had “butt cheeks” bleeped later on.
It seems like Fox really lets the creators do what they want with their shows, whether its Bernie Mac, M&R, Arrested Development, or something else. And its definitely changed the sitcom landscape, as far as I’m concerned.
Which is why its still incomprehensible to me why “Andy Richter Controls the Universe” is gone and replaced by “Fat Guy, Hot Wife, Annoying Kids XII”
Anyway, hate if you want. But if you haven’t watched the show because you just suspected it was going to be as stupid as “How High”, you might want to check it out. It’s not without its stupid parts, but its got some insight, too.
