Methods to solve Pakistan's problems

Pakistan has been ravaged by military dictators, corrupt politicians, and unyielding violence since its birth. Even today, misery is caused by religious extremists, corrupt politicians, corrupt officials, sectarian tensions, illiteracy, poverty, etc. And yet they are in an arms race with India, complete with a nuclear weapon.

How can Pakistan’s problems be solved?

My theory: Unite the country under the iron fist of a bloodthirsty tyrant. Exterminate the enemies of the state and strike fear into the people’s hearts so they won’t so much as think of picking up arms and spreading disorder. Force the country to become stable. Then stop supporting the Kashmir effort: let them become independent. Establish trade and social relations with Israel. Ban all support for terrorists, and root out and demolish all religious schools, replacing them with either schools run by Sufis or under schools with a government-issued curriculum. Invite foreign investment: become an economic whore. Let the world use Pakistan, as long as Pakistan’s stature rises and it gets profit and economic development. With the funds, begin developing the rural areas: introduce schools and programs for advancement. Begin elevating the people, encouraging them to contribute to the country’s success.

Any other ideas?

WRS - I don’t call myself Pakistani, but my ancestry is South Asian. I am sick of seeing a portion of South Asia hijacked by violence and suffering. Plus, this should be a nice exercise in fancy.
