Mexican Visa for citizen of the Dominican Republic

I have an aquaintence that waited to the last minute to get a visa to go to a meeting in Mexico. He is a citizen of the Dominican Republic and attending school in the US. What are his chances of getting a visa in the next 24-36 hours? If possible how should he go about doing it?

Your best bet is to call the nearest Mexican consulate and ask. I am a citizen of the D.R. but I live in D.R., so I can’t help you with a good answer.

Part of the problem is getting thru to the Mexican Consulate. He’s called consulates in several cities and can’t find an actual person. He may drive to one in the AM, but I’d hate for him to take a wasted trip. I think that he’s SOL, in this instance. Thanks for your input though.

According to Mrs. Bricker, who is Dominican, if he has a valid US visa, the Mexicans won’t have any problem giving him a visa.

Call the Mexican Embassy in DC; explain what you (or he) needs, and ask their help in contacting the local consular office.

Thanks for the info. I’ll pass it on to him.
