That explains why the stuff is so juicy and extra-crispy.
Also explains why I can’t get enough. Cannabalism is all well and good for amateurs, but Ethnocannabalism is what the cool kids are doing this summer.
I find it a little too grape-and-mentholated for my tastes.
Ethnocannibalism… I like it. It’s genocide, but it’s Green! Kinds like recycling your least favorite race.
Well, they would go to Popeyes, but they run out of chicken. Ain’t much else a person can do.
How are you two not making exactly the same point?
Theorist!
To Gizmo with both of you!
If it were only the kids. What most bothers me about Mexicans is that they are fat, loud, slobs who raise a racket, leave a mess behind and don’t even tip.
The word “cannibal” is offensive and demeaning to my people, we of the Anthropophagi.
Can I convert? I love humans. I could just eat them up.
Negative. There are a lot of non-Mexican Latinos here. I am aware that Mexicans are still the dominant immigration group, but I simply said that sometimes it seems like I rarely meet Mexicans compared to Latinos of other nationalities which is entirely true. Confirmation bias at work? Maybe.
Yes, you can be Anthropophagus-American.
Am I the only one who feels kinda sorry for the OP? He reads more like my Grandpa who doesn’t know any better than someone who is actively promoting racism. Sure, his post is racist. Sure it means he has some racist thoughts. But those are things he needs to strive to get rid of. I am firmly convinced that all people has had a bigoted thought in their life. It’s how you respond to that thought that is important.
Anyways, Jack, admit that what you said was racist. Tell people you are sorry for having a racist thought, and ask for forgiveness. And maybe get your username changed. You don’t have to be “permanently labeled as a racist.” But don’t be racist in your new identity. Heck, stay away from all race-related subjects until you are sure you can handle it.
AS for me, I’m granting forgiveness even if you don’t ask. Mostly because I won’t remember your name in like a week, but also because I think it is the right thing to do, and would want others to forgive me of a gross error in judgment.
Thankfully, your grandpa probably doesn’t know how to use the internet.
I know people who did. Something to do with changing planes nearby, maybe? Thing is, they were in the US as tourists and they spent a night in Kansas City, Missouri, so if I remember my English correctly, that makes them people who went to Kansas City, Missouri, as tourists. Two of them even, plus everybody else in their organized group (whom I haven’t met).
Not to hijack the thread, but I will admit that my time spent living in Mexico was unpleasant as best. That had a lot to do with my job, but while that may have been a factor, another part of it was the populace.
No kiddin’ I told my few relatives in Mexico that I would NEVER return there unless one of them died or was in the hospital. I mean it, too. If I never set foot in Mexico again I’ll consider it good luck. It may not be fair or rational, but Mexico to me is just a miserable place filled with miserable people. I really NEVER EVER want to go there again.
That wouldn’t work – all of his old posts would automatically change to his old name.
It would be better for him to own up to the fact that he said some asshole things, and well, not be an asshole in the future.
Just the other day me and my damn kid were at the grocery store, when, without warning, he grabs a bottle of Cerveza Modelo, opens it with his teeth, and yells “¡Hola amor! ¡Chichis magnífico!” at a passing woman before pissing on the floor.
Now I know why.
What’s funny is that some interesting conversations could be had on topics like this if they were started by people who put some thought into it. I mean, X group certainly does seem to exibit behavior Y more often than anyone else. Mexicans might even hold less control over their kids in public than other groups do; I thought I noticed this for awhile a few years back, but I haven’t seen it in a long time, so maybe those instances were coincidence. The problem is the OP just wanted to rant about Mexicans. “I’m not racist, but…” Check. Seems to suggest this behavior is intrinsic to being Mexican, and applies to all of them. Check. Does not offer any counter-examples. Check. Copious unironic use of CAPS and exclamation points! Check. And last but not least, an insult to finish things off. Check.
The scorn is a bit much because, why would you take this guy seriously? He didn’t take the topic seriously.
