Michael Crichton’s latest novel, unfinished before his death, but completed by Richard Preston (The Hot Zone). I’m on chapter seven and loving it so far. It’s not high literature but it’s a page turner, sort of a scientific John Grisham tale. I think it was high time someone updated the Incredible Shrinking Man—which I saw recently on cable—and this seems to have feature film written all over it. Think Fantastic Voyage meets Jurassic Park. I look forward for Hollywood to churn out the inevitable summertime blockbuster complete with monstrous CGI insects. Great fun.
