Michael Schumacher, fuck you for making me admire you.

Whoops - my mistake! It was infact in Jerez that MS tried to take out JV.

And I join Coldfire in saying that I really liked JV too. He had lots of talent and plenty of aggression… F1 could do with a few colourful characters like him (but not like JPM) to spice things up.

And my passing manoeuver of the decade (this decade or the last, depending on when you think the millenium started) was Hakkinen overtaking Schumacher at Spa 2000. I think it was Ricardo Zonta in a BAR on the fast straight who pulled over to the middle of the track to let MS through, only to see Hakkinen pass him on the wet side of the track! Brilliant move!

That’s my move for this decade so far, but yeah. I jumped up and screamed when I saw that happen! I’m betting so did Zonda.

 I bet he did too!

The other time I jumped and screamed was Hockenheim 2000. Barrichello won the race in wet conditions on dry tyres. I ended up on the floor doing the ‘I’m not worthy’ dance. Again, brilliant!

He got lucky.

Damn me for not checking out the pit that often. I so missed out on taking part in the most exciting parts of this thread!

And I agree with gouda about Hakkinen’s move at SPA. But one should not forget that Mika was driving a car tuned for dry weather racing on a drying track as compared to Michael’s car which was optimized for wet racing.

As regards to the OP, along with Michael, other people like Ross Brawn (team strategist and tactician) and Rory Burns(chief aerodynamicist), both who came over from Bennetton to Ferrari along with Michael are to blame along with Paolo Martinelli(who designs the engine).

Most amazingly,if Ferrari finish 1-2 at this weekends German GP they seal the constructors championship- sixth year in a row!

I think the ITV pundits at the British GP were saying that they didn’t expect Ferrari to be as competetive in Germany as anywhere else and that it would suit Michelin shod cars better than the Bridgestones. I’m sure they’ll still be well in the points, but I expect that, barring mechanical failures in other cars, they’ll probably have to wait another race or two before that happens.

Personally I’m predicting a Raikkonen, Schumacher, Button podium.

Sure he did. And your point is?

Yep.Wait till someone beats him.Anyone can be sportsmanlike if they’re winning everything…
