I know it’s wrong to have fun at anyone’s expense, but I’ll have to, once again, make an exception in Michael Steele’s case. The man’s been an utter embarrassment since day one [you decide which day in which year that was. There are so many to choose from].
It now seems a heated battle for control between Steele and other RNC power brokers is coming to a head.
So, my question is by when do you believe Michael Steele will be shown the door, given the old heave-ho, pushed to the curb, eighty-sixed, thrown out on his keister, given the boot, and pink-slipped? I’ll make a bold prediction and say he’ll be gone, or at least marginalized into irrelevency, by July 1st.
Whenever the day of Steele’s, in my opinion inevitable, demise arrives, it’ll be good riddence to a man who doesn’t have sense enough to be embarrassed to be the token black face of a party that cluelessly and cynically placed one of the most inept and unqualified politicians in America today in charge of the RNC solely because he’s black and Republican. Idiot.
As an aside and just as interesting (at least to me) in both of the articles I cited above is the RNC’s special meeting, scheduled for next month, to vote on a resolution officially labelling Obama and the Democratic party socialists. O_o…Wow. I tell ya, the RNC has become funnier than the Keystone Cops. Self-immolation, I dub thee G.O.P.
I have no idea what’s involved, but its apparently very difficult to oust a sitting Chair. And of course it doesn’t make the GOP look very good, so I doubt he’ll be kicked out, though there’s obviously some ongoing efforts to marginalize him.
That said, if the GOP looses the upcoming NJ and VA governors races in Nov, I could see him stepping down.
I’m not seeing an exit strategy for the Republicans. I mean, if Olympia Snowe became their spiritual leader it would do a helluva lot for them, but I just don’t see that happening.
Hes banking off of a Simpson’s episode about a doomed kids cartoon character named “Poochie” who makes an abrupt(!) exit. Kind of like Kumar on House who blew his brains out because of Obama.
I don’t think he’s be ousted, but he’ll be emasculated. No budget control, and they will re-write any rules they have to to shut him up. He of course is too much of a whore to quit in protest.
Okay, how about this, smart guy… Who, between Palin and Steele, do you think would win at Scrabble? Oh, wait, I guess he’d win. Well, bucko, which would win at Trivial Pursuit? Ha! …oh, hmm, I guess he’d win that too. I guess even Michael Steele is smarter than Sarah Palin.
If the RNC doesn’t boot him, which I still believe they ultimately will, I think you’re right, he’ll stay around, even if in some diminished capacity. As I said, the man has no self respect, and anyway, where’s he going to go? He’s become a national laughing stock, and therefore a pariah.
