Come one, come all, to the first annual Michigander Summer Picnic!
We’ve got nikonikosuru’s graduation to celebrate, olivesmarch4th and the ever patient Dom to wish well as they begin the Jersey takeover, and my birthday, so there’s lots and lots of festivity to go around.
Saturday the 28th, in the quaint little not-so-picturesque town of Wayne, 3 miles from Metro airport. If you can find 94, 275 or 96, you can find the picnic, I promise.
The park is across from my place, plenty of parking nearby, playground equipment and a covered pavilion, plus we’ve got two or three charcoal grills available.
And thank you very much , olives. We’re looking at next year, wouldn’t it be awesome if the date we eventually settle on coincides with a trip back home for you guys?
I’ll be stuck here in GR that weekend- the Water Festival on Saturday and prior commitments Sunday. Someday I’ll meet my fellow mittendopers. How about a westside fest? We do have better beaches, you know.
You have gorgeous beaches, darlin. Even better, though, you have absolutely incredible autumn weather, stunning for that one great week when the leaves turn.
You should totally have us over then, I’ll bring pumpkin pie!
