My cousin was 1.5 lbs at birth. Multiple surgeries. Nobody knew if he was going to live or die.
Didn’t take long for him to become a tall, hyperactive kid.
He is now in his 20s, but he is having serious vision problems because his parents didn’t get his eyes checked regularly. By serious I mean potential blindness.
I congratulate these parents but i hope they are aware of the lifetime health issues associated with very very premature births.
It’s incredible what medical science can do though, isn’t it?
