What does Doe Run pull out of the mine there?
While I lived in greater St. Louis I spent a lot of time wandering around the out counties. Pretty country. I had friends that lived between De Soto & Potosi off Hwy 21. So not quite as far out as Viburnum.
Lead, still. Word around town is that, two decades ago, they were this close to pulling out the last few tons, until they found another lode. But what I don’t know about mining could fill several libraries.
I knew all about Herculaneum, Doe Run being largely in the lead biz, etc., But Iron County & the whole area contains a lot more than just lead. Stay healthy!
