Microsoft hates itself

In a tread in GQ, China Guy says he likes OneNote, so I decide to try it out for myself.

They have a free 60-day trial version, so I download it, and register my hotmail account (now part of Windows Life).

I check my Hotmail account, and there is a message from Microsoft thanking me for downloading the product and update information.

Hotmail doesn’t like the mail:

Emonote.

It’s just internal conflict between divisions of Microsoft. Nothing to worry about, until something bluescreens.

Microsoft is like a realtime illustration of the phrase “the right hand doesn’t know what the left is doing.”

They create redundant products in different divisions, redundant products in the SAME division, and their products always take comically long to integrate together.

Microsoft hates itself?

As usual, it’s lagging behind its market.

Maybe they should bring back MS Bob. He was always happy.

Sorry, but chiming in to say OneNote rocks. When MS gets something right, it really is right. I use it for my uni notes and it’s brilliant - I can cross reference and add in files and do all sorts of stuff.

So was Enzyte Bob, and look where it got him.

We need OneNote on the iPad.

“Free for a limited time”

That is good news.

I’m playing around with OneNote and I really like it.

I’m – not so patiently – waiting for China Guy to do a “Ask the OneNote Expert” thread.

“The item you are looking at is not available in the Canadian iTunes store, but is available in the US store. Click here to change stores…”

Bother.

Well, I don’t have an iPad either, but that’s not the point! Although it will work on the iPhone as well, I suspect that the mode of interaction would be quite different. I encountered OneNote quite a while ago and was favourably impressed.
