Sometimes I’ll highlight some text and delete it. Once the text disappears, everything around it becomes bold. Or justifies right. Or changes fonts. Quite without warning or apparent rhyme or reason.
Other times, I’ll paste some text into a document from an e-mail, or other source. Same thing. Crazy formatting changes to whole sections of my document.
I’m sure Word thinks it’s being extremely helpful, but it isn’t. Is there something I can do to turn this “feature” off? Failing that, is there any way to have it change things so that they conform to my preferences?
