Just received an email from Mikey’s daughter.
She said he doing well in the new place.
He not fully himself yet so he doesn’t have his phone or laptop.
She says she’s been telling him about my emails and he seems happy to know we are concerned here at the Dope.
Y’all keep him in mind.

I’ve begun monitoring obituaries in the Chicago papers.
It’s very depressing.
I’m trying, I promise.
I hate it when the best you can say is ‘no news is good news.’

Oh boy, that’s worrisome. I hope it ends up being a “no news is good news” situation and they’re just really busy getting him settled and stuff, but I admit I’m worried. Thank you Beck for keeping us in the loop, even when there’s no news.
I did get a message this afternoon from Mikey’s daughter.
She been ill herself.
She said, “Dad has been cleared medically to move elsewhere”
Not sure what that means.
She also said he was better.
I feel like it’s good news
I seem to recall he’s been in a nursing home (or something like that) for quite some time, but my memory may be inaccurate.
Really, the last 4 + years just keeps on giving.
Okay, thanks Beck the Blessed for the update, and hopefully everyone will get out of this with a clean bill of health including LittleMissMike and family.
