Last night was a bad, bad, bad night. No sleep. This morning my sugar crashed, like it hasn’t done in many moons. I was not completely In a coma, YET. In the nick of time my DIL got here. Got glucose into me.
She knew to come because a Doper I am friends with called the Sheriffs office in my county and they called her. The deputy still came out and questioned me to make sure I was okay. Thanks to the SDMB and one particular Doper, I’m alive and posting. I’m going in to the clinic tomarrow and have a work-up. My sugar is fairly stable right now. I’ve eaten, I’ve told Mr.Wrekker to stay at the lakehouse. I told people to quit calling and texting me. I’m ok. People. Really, I’m okay. Really, I am.
(Thx, Mike)
That’s wonderful!
Glad you’re all right.
Wow. I’m glad you’re better. Should you be staying alone until you get checked out?
StG
Probably not. My son is close. They will check in. Thoroughly driving me crazy. I’m ok.
Thank you ghost Doper! Great job! Keep up the good work!
So, so glad to hear things are being managed!
Take care please! And get way better, way soon!
Goddammit, Beck! Will you take better care of yourself? You’re irreplaceable.
Thanks, Mike the Doper, whoever you are.
Look after yourself, Beck. You’re one in a million, and I for one enjoy your presence here.
Thanks be to Mike, the unnamed Doper, for keeping our Beck safe and sound.
It wasn’t this Mike, but I’m very glad to hear that you’ll be all right, Beck.
Do you, like keep a banana by the bedside or something? You need to have precautionary measures in place.
I actually have injectable glucose. And tablets, juice and sweets But this just happened so suddenly. I’m usually more on top of things. I have been punchy from lack of sleep. I think I maybe have a virus coming on, too. That will throw things off.
Thx everyone for the well wishes. I’m fine, really I’m okay.
How did this doper (wasnt me) know you were in sugar crisis?
mc
We were e-mailing back and forth and he noticed I was typing some gibberish. And dropped out. When I didn’t respond back he took matters in hand. My hero!
Just means that you’ll have to post 24/7, so we can assure ourselves that you really are OK.
Seriously, glad to know, Beck. Stay well and happy.
Becky had a bad, bad, bad day.
But we’ve got one helluva good, good, good community here. Thanks, Mr. Mike.
And keep on postin’ , Beck.
Oh, and we’re still waiting for kitty pics, ya know.
Funny thing. My DIL said when I was yammering and coming around I was telling her to “call the dope, call the dope, tell them I’m alright”.
She doesn’t know anything about SDMB. She just thinks I’m crazy. I guess. Oh well, if the shoe fits.
I imagine your family or you may worry now about what might happen when you’re driving? Stay safe.
SOME gibberish? Random letters. I freaked, buthave some idea of her real name and location, thanks to the exploding truck. The dispatcher said I needed her address, but I guess somebody in the sheriff’s office knows Mr Wrekker or their DIL and sent the deputy. The dispatcher called me back with an update.
So, rather than someone special I see myself as part of a Neighborhood Watch for the Cyber Age: a busybody with a computer and a phone.
drop “Mike” zone
Wow Beck glad you are ok! And good job dropzone!
Wow. That’s wonderful. I’m trying not to cry right now.
Good man, dropzone.
