Private messages. Private messages are subject to the same rules as the SDMB. There is no guarantee of privacy in these messages. You assume the risk that any PM you send may be made public by the recipient.

This is true of not only SDMB PMs but any private communication with any other person on the planet who isn’t your lawyer, doctor or priest.
