Anyway, the best way to do it is to roast your own chiles, used smoked chicken/turkey, and stay away from canned anything. This is a solid recipe:

But yeah, it’s somewhat a matter of nuance; the laziest cream-of-mushroom soup & canned chiles version is still recognizably the same dish.

The Boys are back in Town!:
Yay! Grandsons are back. We’ve been listening to them regale us the highlights of their trip. They saw a baby sharklet on the beach. They ate crabs. Littlest boy said 'it tastes just like chicken" couldn’t understand why we all laughed.
They each got new Lego sets. So they are furiously engaged in that, now.
They liked Dads new woman friend. Not her kid tho’.
Fun times were had.
I’m so happy they are home. I like my nest full.

I’m just going to say, as a non-moderator, if anyone thinks people are violating the rules then report them. We’re not supposed to litigate that stuff ourselves.
But no one is consistently hijacking the threads of others, nor cluttering the pit with lots of threads. I can’t see how writing little blog posts about the topic of a pitting is fundamentally different from posting random recipes in a pit thread.
And the fact that she’s posting here suggests she’s reading the thread, so if you’ve offered her actionable advice, well, she probably read it.
I’m not reading those rules as “you must do all of these things or you’re completely within the rules.” “The Pit is not your personal diary” seems to stands on its own. Also, if THIS thread is constantly being hijacked, is that a loophole to “consistently hijack the threads of others” because this is one thread?
They’re not about the topic of a pitting.I don’t see how multiple blog posts that have zero to do with the pitting isn’t a hijack or blatantly using it to blog is being allowed. Is it allowed because she’s the pittee? I wonder if we can all pick a Pit thread and use if for mundane blogging. I guess, since you seem to imply we can use a pit thread to post random recipes.
