Where the heck did this come from? I think the point many posters have been trying to make is that people aren’t picking on her without cause; they’re bringing up something if there was a legit reason, and then letting the thread go dormant. Just coming in to throw out an insult with no explanation is exactly what her proponents are annoyed over. Did you have a reason for dropping this into the thread?
So what’s your cut-off point for stirring back up settled arguments? We know two weeks is okay. How about two months? Two years? Have you found a twenty year old dispute in a thread that you would like to get going again?
Settled by whom? It was settled last year until it was revived again June 5 for more pile on insults.

My mother – visiting from out of town – was readying herself for the airport shuttle to scoop her up. Because I also wanted to participate in this discussion, I typed too quickly.
I did something similar yesterday, flagging a post for moderation based on my perception that it was far afoul of the rules of that forum.
Except I’d switched threads so often that I was mistaken about which forum it was actually posted in.
Mea culpa for that one, too (already offered directly to the Mod who first acted on my flag).
That’s the thing with dedicated pit threads by design they are never dormant, ready to go until the next pit pile on happens, which seems to be semi regularly.
I’m going to walk you through it, because my genuine sense is that you truly don’t get it.
You jump on people expressly for jumping on the Pittee, yet you see neither irony nor hypocrisy in doing so.
Quite a few Dopers – generally, those with pretty solid reputations for thoughtful and informed perspectives and well-written posts – have had specific gripes about the Pittee, manifestly based on fairly extensive history, numerous encounters, and more than adequate sample sizes from which to form judgments.
You’re essentially Pitting the Pitters for having legitimate complaints – legitimate, whether you agree with them or not – legitimate, articulable, and with citations. I really can’t see how you feel well positioned to hold that position with anything resembling logical consistency.
Maybe like the Pittee herself, and a few of the fanboys, you’re proceeding from an assumption of the Pittee’s infallibility, along with a heaping helping of confirmation bias.
And, oddly, though most of the aforementioned tribe appears to hate the current President, this behavior is eerily similar to the behavior of his cult of personality.
Finally … “soft bigotry of low expectations --” as introduced upthread – definitely applies. I think @Great_Antibob also mentioned it, only in other terms.
