Miles Walker, the owner of A OK Walker Autoworks in Peachtree City, GA, is a fucking asshole

He’s a coward as well.

Good on Mr. Flaten and Miss Oxley for their attitude. I hope that everyone in this story gets what they deserve in the end.

He’s already being discussed here

I agree. His behavior was inde-cent.

Their website now includes this comment on the home page:

On the up side, their Yelp page is getting deservedly review-bombed.

They are just going to love it when somebody does come in and pays with a dump truck full of pennies.

The locals down there should buy the oil covered pennies from this poor guy and pay their Walker Autoworks bills with them. Dump them right back on his floor.

He’s likely to give used car salesmen a bad name.

Oh. Wait …

Shouldn’t he get hit with a big fine* for illegally dumping oil?

*preferably accompanied with a warning about increased fines for repeat offenses

I’ll bet that wasn’t new oil, either.

Admittedly, the oil would be annoying. But I would have been delighted. I would spend all weekend separating the copper from the zinc pennies and looking for error coins, rare dates, wheat pennies, high-grade uncirculated specimens, impaired proofs, foreign coins, tokens, etc. Who knows, there might even be an Indian head penny or two in that pile.

Yup–it’d be lovely for someone to turn this back into Walker’s problem.

The owner of the shop, Miles Walker, spoke with WGCL-TV briefly, stating he didn’t know if he did or didn’t drop the pennies off at Flaten’s house.
“I don’t really remember,” Walker told the TV station. “It doesn’t matter he got paid, that’s all that matters.”

Yeah, how is one really supposed to keep track of which wheel barrow full of oiled pennies one dumps off.

Oh, he doesn’t really remember? Then he should go directly to his doctor and get a referral to a neurologist, because that’s the kind of thing you should remember.

Even better, if he doesn’t remember dumping the pennies, then it follows that he doesn’t remember paying his former employee at all. The former employee should threaten to sue for wages owed if the former employer claims he doesn’t know if he paid that employee…after all, anyone could have dumped those pennies there.

There is undoubtedly a story behind this that we don’t know.

And who knows, the locals may be on Walker’s side.

That Walker guy’s a real piece of shit from the sound of it.

Dang it. Missed Czarcasm’s post.

my stepdad did something like this to my mom once over a football bet

This is a good point. There is no receipt, and no paper trail.
