Britney Spears: $14.99 for one CD.
The Mills Brothers: $25.99 for 5 CDs.
What the hell is wrong with kids today?

Who the hell are The Mills Brothers?
(mmmmm… Britney)
Imagine that listening to The Platters is like popping Dollys. Listening to The Mills Brothers (or The Ink Spots, for that matter) is like mainlining horse.
Hope that helps.
Has anyone under the age of 60 ever bought a Mills Brothers CD? Their hits were in the '30’s and '40’s for the most part, and their last hit was in 1968.
I have. And I would point out that merely because someone had a hit before 2 p.m. this afternoon, it doesn’t necessarily make it bad.
I also buy CDs of Mozart, Sinatra, Lotta Lenya, Edith Piaff and other artists who were not on the remake of the Micky Mouse Club.
It will be interesting to see if anyone would pay anything for a reissue of a Britney Spears compiliation in about fifty years. I would tend to doubt it.
I dunno, the 70 year old ex-teeny boppers might still be listening to her.
I’m in my 30’s, and I’ve got plenty of CDs that were recorded before I was born: Buddy Holly, Glenn Mller, Etta James, Jerry lee Lewis, Duke Ellington, etc. I’ve got a bunch of Spike Jones records, too (Quinn, records are big black plastic discs that people used to listen to music on in the olden times… :)).
Eric
Mills Bros. in the first round! There’s five of them; aughta’ be able to kick her ass.
Santos, Tv Time, please don’t patronize me. I’m listening to Harry James as I write this post. I simply found Johnny Angel’s post without a point (a lot of acts far better than the Mills Brothers sell for far less than $25.99 for 5 CD’s).
Besides which, the only pieces I like the Mills Brothers for (the early material) are ones that you probably have never heard, prefering instead their Vegas claptrap.
Say whaaat?
Johnny Angel’s point was that the good Mills Brothers music is much cheaper per unit than Britney’s junk is. Judging from your posts, you shouldn’t have a problem with that.
PS: If anyone was patronizing you, I don’t see it.
On the other hand, your post…
