Basically, December started a thread about “anti-Americanism”, and quite a few people disagreed with his premise. In my opinion, December’s replies were mostly obfuscatory and/or disengenous, and a lot of people called him on it, some of whom maybe went too far. I don’t have a problem with December. It’s annoying when he doesn’t give a straight answer to people’s arguments, but he’s always polite.
But, Milum, I DO have a problem with you. You decide to make a late entry into the thread where you post a page of “sound bites” from previous posts, all taken out of context, and in some cases even leaving out emoticons that originally indicated that the person was joking, and add this obnoxious comment:
Aside from the fact that you sound like a whiny little bitch, if you in fact have a problem with anyone’s post, you might want to address them individually, instead of making blithe, nonsensical generalizations like this. If you don’t think any intelligent arguments were made in the thread, you obviously didn’t read the first 4 pages.

Milum, hang out a bit. Lurk for a while and get the persepctive you need to properly evaluate what you are currently criticising. Perhaps, when you’ve gotten a bit more experience on this board, you’ll understand that sometimes criticism has its roots in prejudice or personal issues, sometimes it is completely deserved. Sometimes it is a mixture.
In most december threads, you’ll find a mixture. Seems perfectly normal to me for posters to bring residue from previous battles into the current one. december certainly does.

Well, I don’t even need to read the thread in question because I can clearly tell from Milum’s response here that he’s an ass.
The way I see it, being pitted offers people the chance to see (beyond the purview of regular posting) what the pitted/pitting doper is made of. Does he admit when he’s wrong? Does he gloat when he’s right? Is he a sore loser? Is he mature?
Blowero posts a good argument against you, and you come up with an intelligent, well thought-out, mature response which addresses his agruments, explains and defends your actions. Good job. I’m impressed. From now on I’ll definitely be taking you seriously. :rolleyes:
